Job Title: Special Education Teacher
Courses Taught: Both Core and Elective classes
Bio
I come from a proud Righetti Warrior family whose alumni started with me (79), followed by my five children (03, 05, 09, 09 & 10) and even one granddaughter (20) with more to come in the future! We all bleed purple in our family! The skills we learned here as Warriors led to each of our current career fields which include teaching, psychiatric nursing, entertainment film editing, librarian, military, aviation mechanics, and retail management. Indeed, with great effort, planning and dreams, our greatness started here at Righetti!
I have been a special education therapeutic teacher at Righetti since 2010 following previous positions as a middle school science and art teacher as well as in alternative education in Juvenile Court and Community Schools.
A few fun facts about me: Having grown up my early years in Los Angeles and Philadelphia, I secretly cheer for all the LA teams, however my heart belongs to the NFL Philadelphia Eagles and Phillies! Prior to teaching, I was a DJ and had the privilege of working with and for many artists during my entertainment journeys and that experience helped me build a great foundation to become a teacher. They actually require similar skill sets. I also am the Spirit Program Advisor here for Righetti which includes cheerleading, the Purple Wave Spirit team and our school mascot. Go Eagles and go Warriors!
